Last week a famous tipster revealed the Vivo’s upcoming smartphone weird images which is codenamed as “The Waterdrop”. As per invites, it is speculated that these weird pics are related to Vivo Apex smartphone. This day, Vivo sent out media invite to launch its latest smartphone scheduled on Jan 24 the successor to last year’s APEX.

Vivo posted a teaser image on its Weibo profile, confirming the new phone will be called vivo APEX 2019 along with the date of launch that is son 2019.01.24” stamped at the bottom. While we look into the image The smartphone with a curved screen on the edges and corners which look simply stunning and the display showing a ripple effect created by a water droplet. The image comes with a caption that translates to “A year ago, Vivo APEX portrayed a new world of full screens. A year later, Vivo APEX 2019 evolved again, using technology to wake up to the future. See you on January 24.”

As said by rumors the Vivo APEX 2019 will not come with cut outs or ports like present smartphone design. With an all-screen technology in mind, we can expect Vivo to employ a pop-up camera or a slider or a secondary display to house the front camera. As per previous reports concerned The upcoming Apex smartphone could come with a half screen in-display fingerprint scanner and there might be no space for physical buttons on the device{power key, volume rocker].The codename “The Waterdrop” indicates that the device could sport pressure-sensitive edges and gesture navigation.

To recall, The Apex 2018 smartphone was powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset so it is good to speculate that Apex 2019 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 chip under the hood. The device may also equip a larger memory with a possibility of 12GB RAM likely to be launched.

The Vivo APEX 2019 will be unveiled on January 24 and we might see Vivo showcase the device during the Mobile World Congress 2019 next month.
