Samsung announced the Android 9 Pie update plans fpr the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S8, and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones at the Samsung Developer Conference 2018. South Korean giant also announced the One UI interface to replace the Samsung Experience UI with these smartphone. Although it is expected that the Android 9 Pie update will be available in January 2019, Samsung presented Christmas gifts for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users.

Samsung Electronics has announced stable update of Android 9 pie for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 smartphones. According to SamMobile, this update is released in Germany at about 1744.28 MB. Users can click on Settings -> Software update -> Download updates to manually check for updates and install it.

After the upgrade is completed, the Galaxy S9 Plus software version is changed to G965FXXU2CRLI, and for the Galaxy S9 – G960FXXU2CRLI. The SamMobile report states that the update is also possible to download from the Samsung’s download server.

In addition to new One UI interface which is based on Android Pie, the update comes with several features like the ability to reply to messages right from the notification panel, image thumbnails in messages, Samsung keyboard with Unicode 11 emojis, and more. DeX mode on Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will no longer need the dock (DeX station), just like on the Galaxy Note 9 and now users will be able to use any supported USB Type-C to HDMI adapter to use this feature.

The camera app also comes with an AI based Scene Optimizer from the Galaxy Note 9 to enhance color settings of your photos. The Gallery application also redesigned and includes new editing tools. Over the next few weeks, we expect updates in other places, such as the United States, India, and other regions.
