JP Dutta, the filmmaker has returned to Bollywood with his war film ‘Paltan’. He is famous for making movies based on patriotism, war and action. The title poster was released last year and the makers yesterday had unveiled several posters of the movie featuring the actors in army uniform. We got to see glimpses of Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhant Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary among others. All the actors were clad in army uniforms and looked pretty convincing as soldiers of the motherland.

 

Some of the Bollywood movies, Dutta has produced, written and directed are Border, Refugee, LOC Kargil and Umrao Jaan. The first look of the film displayed silhouettes of army men. The tagline reads, “Brother to my right. Brother to my left. Together we stand. Together we fight.” Besides having an attractive cast, the film also has some real army men involved according to reports. The film has been produced by JP films and directed by JP Dutta, ‘Paltan’ is slated to be released on September 7.

 

This is the third collaboration of JP Dutta and Jackie Shroff, the first and second being ‘Border’ and ‘Refugee’. Shraddha Kapoor had taken to Instagram to disclose a poster of the film featuring her brother Sidhant Kapoor. The post read, “Goooooo bhaiya!!!! Can’t wait for this. @siddhanthkapoor #PALTAN.” Arjun Rampal who plays a key role in the movie, shared his look from the film on Twitter “We might not KNOW them all but we OWE them all. It’s time to #JoinThePaltan.” Sonu Sood, plays Major Bishan Singh in the war movie. He too shared his look. Besides these stars, Harshvardhan Rane who was seen in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, will also be seen in the film. To add, Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha will return to the box office with ‘Paltan’. He had made his debut in 2010 ‘Sadiyaan’.

 

 

Sonakshi Sinha has joined the sharing game as well, as she shares the first look of his Luv from the movie and tweets saying, “”This is my brother, and he is a hero! Luv Sinha in Paltan.. September 7! Cannot wait.”

 

 

Film critic Taran Adarsh took to twitter and shared it with everybody. He wrote, “#PaltanTrailer out tomorrow… Presenting the first look poster of #Paltan… Directed by JP Dutta… 7 Sept 2018 release.”

 

 

In an interview with IANS, Gurmeet Choudhary who will be seen depicting the role of an army officer in the film, says, “My father served the army and his motherland for several years. He used to impart training to new recruits.”

 

The trailer will be launched on August 2, 2018. It is based on the Nathu La military clashes which took place in 1967. The war happened along the Sikkim border. The film will project how the Indian army battled it out with the Chinese forces at the border. The project will be released on September 7, 2018. The venture is a much anticipated project. Earlier, rumours were there that Abhishek Bacchan is also to star in the film but he could not be a part of the film.
